About Us

Look for Bob, Larry, Ricky, and Bobby on the "Big Red Truck"
Bob Bates and his brother, Larry, started Bates Sanitation in 1980 and they have worked together since then.  They grew up and raised their families in Cherokee County.  They are dedicated to meeting the trash removal needs of each and every customer.

Unlike other companies that constantly change personnel, the Bates customers get to know their trash removal teams personally because they are the same people every week. More importantly, the teams get to know the customers and what their individual needs are.

Some of our competitors promise low prices at the expense of quality, dependable service.  Their customers usually experience sloppy, unreliable service and ever increasing rates.

Bobby keeps rates reasonable with no hidden fees, while maintaining a strong commitment to excellent service. Some customers charge fuel and environmental fees.  Bates also incurs these fees, but he is adament that he will not pass the costs  on to his customers.

Bob Bates is personally involved in every aspect of Bates Sanitation.  He has a strong sense of ethics and dedication to the customer.  Bob's favorite motto is "WE'RE ALWAYS THERE."

The customers on Bob's garbage routes see him every week. Many of them take a few minutes to say "hello", and Bob is always glad to stop and chat for a few minutes.

Be sure and ask him about his 2 new family members!

Ricky and Bobby are keys to the unsurpassed service provided by Bates Sanitation.  You'll sometimes see them driving the truck and rhey are often the "boots on the ground".

They work hard, rain or shine, to make sure your trash is picked-up as scheduled.  They make sure your waste bin is correctly returned to your driveway and not your neighbor's as some companies do.  You can be assured that you and your home will be treated with the up-most respect.

Ricky and Bobby are dedicated to making sure that Bates Sanitation meets their customers' needs.

Bobby's daughter, Lori Bates Roland, is the Bates Sanitation  bookkeeper.  She is dedicated to ensuring that her Dad's company is successful and believes that the key to success is the customers' satisfaction.

As you can see, Lori is also a very happy "Nana".

Pat is the Bates Sanitation secretary.  She is the "live" person on the phone who most often interacts with the customers.

Pat brings a strong background in customer service to the office.  She believes that every customer question, concern or complaint should be resolved quickly to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and of Bates Sanitation.

Evie is our mascot and as you can see,
she loves being in charge!

Unbeatable service
"I have been using Bates Sanitation since we moved to Georgia in 1999.  Rates are reasonable and the service is excellent.  Thanks Bates for all the hard work."

Great service with personal service, small town feel
"Bates Sanitation has provided us with trash service for 8 years are always reliable.  If I have extra stuff to throw out, I just call them and they are always willing to take whatever we need them to and are so agreeable.  We have really been happy with them and we are always supportive of local people trying to make a living and grow a business."    L. Haas
Great service for 25 years
"Mr. Bates has been picking up our trash for 25 years.  In all that time, he has been timely and never left anything behind, no matter how large.  We have been astounded over the years at how they come even on some holidays when we weren't expecting pickup.  The price is reasonable.  We have been extremely pleased and would not switch."   J. Thomson

Personal service
"I have been ill and occasionally can't get my bin up to the street.  One of the pick-up team members actually come to my garage and pulled the bin to the street himself and then returned it to my house.  You just don't get this kind of service with another company.  In fact, another company wouldn't know that I am sick - or care.  When I get well, I'm going to bake them something!"

Dependable service
"Thank you for your dependable service.  I did recommend your company to my neighbors a while back.  They too have been satisfied.  Thanks for all your do - all the time." Mrs. L.
